I grew up painting, and portraiture has fascinated me from the start. Living on the Island of Hawaii for over thirty years, I can’t help but also paint the island’s diverse scenes, from reef to mountain. You may spot me painting along the road, engrossed in a surprise glow of light on a familiar scene. Another day you could mistake me for a turtle carrying my gear to a more remote site. Otherwise, you’ll find me working on more involved projects in my studio on Kohala Mountain above Hawi.
